“But seriously, are you really going to cycle from Belgium to Norway? On those bikes” If I had gotten a Euro every time someone asked me that exact same question, I could have afforded myself an upgrade on the flight back from Oslo.
What started as a crazy idea – a folding bike trip from our hometown in Belgium to Copenhagen, Goteborg, Oslo – soon turned out to be our actual summer holiday plans. For those that didn’t follow our Instagram antics, we actually succeeded in our efforts to reach the Norwegian borders, and this on our first ever bike trip. On Bromptons!

Everybody we met the last 6 months
Did we cycle the entire way to Oslo? No we didn’t, but that wasn’t our intention either. Our plan was to have a good time on the bike, visit a couple of lovely cities (Hamburg, Copenhagen, Malmö, Goteborg, Oslo) while we were at it and make full use of the possibilities to take our Brompton on trains, buses, ferries, cars and airplanes. And that ladies and gents, is exactly what we did!
We tackled something between 1050 and 1075 kilometers – forgot Strava every now and then – and climbed 6538 meters on our little bikes and man are we proud of that achievement.
At the moment ‘Team Small Wheels’ is getting ready for the Brompton World Championship Finals in London but expect to hear more about our trip soon. Peace out!
